RIP Whitney

This was the one time I saw Whitney Houston perform live - at the Brit Awards in 1999 at the old London Arena. My abiding memory of the evening is that she blew the other performers out of the water (in fact, I’d actually forgotten that David Bowie and Stevie Wonder both sang that night too). The sense then was that her faltering career was right back on track. Sadly, of course, it really didn’t turn out that way. CS
